Our clients wanted to transform their plain lawn into a functional outdoor space but had no clear idea of how to proceed, except for one key feature - a fire pit. They needed a design that incorporated this feature while ensuring proper drainage and safety around the fire pit.
AFGM developed a detailed plan centred around a stone fire pit and a sustainable garden. We engineered a solution to manage water drainage, channelling rainwater from the fire pit to the surrounding perimeter gardens.
The fire pit itself was constructed from bluestone, which retains heat safely. To ensure easy maintenance, we incorporated a trap door and grate for cleaning. The design also ensured the fire pit was safely distanced from plant life.
The clients were left with a fully functional outdoor entertaining area, featuring a custom fire pit that met all their needs. The space is not only practical but visually appealing, with a sustainable garden providing a beautiful backdrop.
